« on: Sunday 26 October 14 07:24 GMT (UK)  »
Hi I recently found that an ancestor johan frederick William ( various order of name) KOHN  (born Germany 1859 but naturalised British subject) lived in Pietrmaritzburg from 1893 to his death of dysentry in October or November 1899.He had a wife Fanny Jane nee Ordish. He worked at The Alexandra hotel and set up a cafe at the railway station. He dabbled in Goldmining and was affected by the Jameson Raid financially.Any help in finding his death record, burial place or what hapoened to his wife who may have married a Mr Bell is appreciated Margaret Frank

Hi again
Just had a quick look at my Frank tree
This is what I have

John Frank  married Hannah Coates Scarborough
Thomas Frank married Mary Brough Scarborough
Thomas Brough Frank married Jane E Langdale Scarborough and York
Christopher Charles Frank married Ethel Cahill York
Charles Cecil Frank married Mary Isabel Silversides York

 We have two unmarried daughters
I believe Thomas Frank was brother of Robert Frank who married Jane Wickham. [I have a birth certificate I think somewhere]Their father was John Frank

Hi Reg
Thanks for posting photo .Of course I'd be willing to share information. Are you a member of Ancestry,co.uk by any chance? If so I could make you a guest on my tree [Ordish family tree] then you can see for yourself ,anything I have.
The Frank family is only a secondary research for me as I concentrate on my side of the family but over the years I have gathered all sorts of bits and pieces from my husbands Frank family.
Regards Margaret :)

My daughter who doesnot intend to have children said she was quite miffed that she could not include her Rhodesian Ridgeback Dana on recent 2011 census forms. She argue Dana is her substitute child..May be she should have just gone ahead and done it

Thank you to every one who has taken the time to look up information on Qusquo cottages. Other people on ancestry.com informed me qusquo is Latin for Alpha and that there is a qusquo bistro in LA USA[Might I get to visit that some day?]
