my ancestor Edward Jones b1799 Dyserth. First found Liverpool 1830 as a butcher, lastly on 1881 census Liverpool as butcher, retired. His wife Fanny b 1809 Llanasa
Is this possibly the same man with a second wife?

Who was Sarah Janes husband. I have George Edward Tate and George Edward Usher
and what is the Coberan/ Colburn/ Cockburn connection

Thank you Anita and Ainslie. Breathing resumed. This is the correct family and CofE it was. When William came to NZ (after 21/8/1912 thanks) he left Rhoda in Liverpool. She arrived 1915, first child b. 7/1916. Would dearly like to know why William came to NZ. It has been suggested he was a bankrupt tailor shop owner. Or was he mixed up in the 1911 riots. Or was he sent by the British Army.

Help needed finding when and where this was taken, and whose uniform it is
Nothing on back or front
William Jones (B 1 7 1879 Liverpool) and wife Rhoda Tate from Liverpool
He left between 1910 and 1915 and was at Trentham Army base New Zealand
He did not participate in WW1

I note 2006, live in hope
Researching Tate, Gibbeson and especially George Edward Usher (Tate) Born about 1860 Manchester (Newcastle, Liverpool) died New Zealand 31/8/1951 At some (unknown) time for some (unknown) reason he changed his sur-name. May have been a mariner out of Newcastle
Also Coberan (Colburn, Cockburn???) Sarah Jane Tate wife of George Edward Tate
They and their family left Liverpool about 1921
I'm fairly sure they relate back to the Tate Gibbeson and Violet is a name that lives on here.
They have many descendants in New Zealand including Tate and Jones
