Nottinghamshire Lookup Requests / Re: burial lookup please-worksop
« on: Sunday 11 March 12 07:00 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
Can someone do a burial look up for me,

Arthur Horace Gaunt buried in Worksop  possibly 1951 age 71. Just wondered what the gravestone said.

His wife Fanny Louisa Atton GAUNT possibly died before him.  I have no details for her.  She lived at Worksop 18 Marecroft.

Many Thanks if you can help
regards Ken Stanger

Hello Pauline,
Thanks for your reply.  All I had to go on was the 1851 census . Edith Weston

William Thomas Nutt Head 39 plumber born EW
Adelaide Nutt wife marr 41 b. EW
William S.Nutt son 12 b EW
George James Nutt son 10 b EW
Ann Stanger  mother widow 74 formerly farmers wife b. Liddington Rutland

I thought ,is she the mother of Adelaide or William .
Well Adelaide Walden Low was born to a Mary Low illegitimate 1808.
Stanger was a rare name in Edith Weston. Well an Ann Freeman married Thomas Nutt and they had one child William Thomas Nutt bpt 11 AUG 1811 Edith Weston. Father Thomas died 14 JUN 1816 Edith Weston.
Then on the 1841 census  I find an Ann Stanger claiming to be the mother of William Thomas Nutt age 39.
I had no choice but think this is her (Ann Nutt) who had since her husband Thomas Nutt had died in 1816 had remarried a Stanger who also died before 1851.

Hope it make sense

regards Ken Stanger

Hello Andrea,
I have just joined rootschat and noticed your Joseph Dilkes Dilks born Normanton Derby.  This Joseph is brother to my John Dilks baptism 8th July 1785 at St Peters Derby.  Their parents were Timothy Dilks and Anne Pegg who married at St Peters Derby by banns 18 JAN 1785.   I have other children for this marriage.
Could you email me at
