Hi O Cleirigh79, yes I am your Mams cousin Monica Martin, I did some research  but never actually went in to the General Records Office. Yes I did find out that my Grandad was born out of wedlock but one of my older cousins had told me that. He lived when he was a teenager with his fathers family, his father was also Thomas.

The Booterstown connection was on the Meehan side I have a document from Deans Grange Cemetary
giving an adress in Booterstown for Thomas Meehan my Nanas father. I met Declan a while ago I live very near him and can drop a copy of that document around to him for you.I will give him my email address too if you could pass on your information. Thanks regards to your Mam

I know for definite Thomas who was my Grandfather married Johanna Meehan in St Andrews circa 1918 , I can call myself to St Andrews, my cousin was tracing the family tree, and got various birth certs there including my mothers who lived in Fitzwilliam Lane till 1930's. I am interested in tracing other family members of my Grandfathers family.

Thomas who is on the 1911 Census is 29 so he should have been born in 1882 that could be wrong and maybe he was indeed born in 1878 but my Grand father was also Thomas he was born in 1899 and I believe he was indeed born out of wedlock and Thomas Snr was his father we only knew of Peter and his family and we always thought of him as my Mothers uncle but I believe he was my Grandfathers uncle. We have been unable to find a birth Cert for my Grandfather.
He married in 1918 in St Andrews Church Westland Row to Johanna Meehan who also lived in Fitzwilliam Lane I believe he was brought up by his Fathers family but was'nt there in 1911.Thanks for your help

Yes your right sorry I made a mistake the father was John, there were in fact two Thomas's one was 29 in 1911 and the other was my grandfather who was not on the 1911 census and who was in fact born in 1899 he does'nt seem to be on the 1911 census, I believe Thomas jnr was the son of Thomas who was 29 we have not been able to trace his birthcert.Where did you find his birth listed. Many thanks for your help

Hi I am trying to trace a family of McDonnells who originally came from Fitzwilliam Lane and also there was a family member living in 88 Pembroke Cottages according to 1911 census. The father and mother in Fitzwiliam Lane were James and Margaret, James Jnr lived with his wife also Margaret in Pembroke Cottages and had 7 children at that time. I have come across a family in 1939 voters registration of Mc Donnells in 39 Pembroke Cottages Pidgeon House Road and wondered were these the same McDonnells? Would appreciate any help
