Hi Vella, if you haven't been for a few years then prepare fora suprise its really changed!  I seem to remember that Tricia the specialist at the libraray is in today she is really good and very helpful.

I am enjoying my research 'on the ground' when I can get time.

I am a Brindle!  My great grandfather also married a Nuttall in Haslingden but much much later.

 Her name was Mary Nuttall and her father was Jesse Nuttall dob 1847 Mother Mary Walsh - I havent got further back than that - don't suppose you have them?
