Samuel Elmes of Tintern [The son of Samuel, Samuel William, John,) died aboutJan1822.
Samuel is also mentioned in the Elmes Letters [1798] He fled to England; in a ship belonging to his future Father in law’ [for details see “The Elmes Letters”] on the internet
Samuel married Anne McCord on Jul 7 1901
I HAVE LOADS OF INFORMATION But I thermally ill so I doubt if I can get it to you .
I suggest You get a copy of the book “Old Ross the Town that never was” or get Wexford Archives to photocopy relevant pages.
Extract from John Elmes will [1697] Edward Elmes, 5th son of my son to, William provided that whoever shall be in possession of such lands shall pay to his Brothers then living 20 pounds towards their support...
Best wishes
