New Zealand Completed Requests / Tracing the following ancestors
« on: Sunday 15 September 13 23:30 BST (UK)  »
Kia Ora

I am trying to trace the following ancestors

Through my grandfather's side I am trying to trace the following

Te Rarangi Te Kauri child of Rarangi Ketewhare. Te Rarangi married George Walker from Scotland who came over from Inverness in the 1800's they had a child called Hori Waaka who apparently according to the Ngati Raukawa trust board was known as Hori Ngawhare but I am unsure. He had 3 wives Panatita Te Awanui, Pare Tuhonoa & Tiki.

I am also trying to trace the following

Kotiro Te Hotene who married Hariete parents of Te Haehae Te Amo. Was wondering if anyone might know or share my connections to these people as well.

Also looking for paretuhonoa father's side through Ranguihewa or Ranguinewa Te Amo.

Also looking for these connections

Karora = ? (Trying to find my great great koro's wife)
Te Pakaru Wahanui Karora or Te Pakaru Te Reoiti (Son of Karora)

& Trying to fill the gaps with this whakapapa of mine

Te Ra = ?
Aukaha = ?
Kiritapu = ?
Tutanumia = Wiremu Hohaia (Trying to find his whakapapa which is ngati raukawa)

any help would be much appreciated

New Zealand Completed Requests / Herewini & Te Wheoro Whakapapa
« on: Friday 02 August 13 03:02 BST (UK)  »
Kia Ora

I am trying to research whakapapa on my ancestors Te Wheoro Wharepapa & Herewini/Perahia.

I am trying to find out the wives & children of Te Wheoro all I know so far is Te Wheoro had a wife Kumeroa Te Kotuku & had Wairua or Hera Wairua Te Wheoro (My Great Grandmother) but Te Wheoro had another wife Waikawa & apparently had 3 children: Tiaki, Whaewhae & Hera. Was wondering if this was correct or if there happened to be more children.

Also looking for whakapapa in regards to the children of Herewini & Perahia. There children were Ngawharau Herewini (Hatana Herewini Ngawharau), Te Raroa Herewini, Harata or Haua/Hana Herewini, Te Keeti Herewini & Ngakoere Herewini.

I come from both Ngawharau & Ngakoere but I don't know the whanau of Te Raroa or Harata (Possibly known as Haua or Hana).

Anyhelp trying to piece these puzzles together would be great thanks!

I am trying to find information on my great great grandfather Te Pakaru Wahanui Karora. He had 4 children Pita Te Pakaru, Timi Heemi Te Pakaru/Hemi Heemi or Heemi Pakaru (My Great Grandfather), Motai Te Pakaru & Niheta Pakaru.

I am not too sure who his wife was as I know my Uncle Motai's mother was Rangi but he had a different mother to my great grandfather. Im not too sure if his mum might be Kororia Hareirua Thompson as my mother carries a name of a nanna my mother's name is Gloria Kororia Heemi Te Pakaru. If anyone knows any whakapapa or information on the te pakaru whanau that would be great.

Kind regards
