Wexford / KINSELLA ,James. Postman.Kilmuckridge
« on: Thursday 09 October 08 05:47 BST (UK)  »
I have been trying to trace family of Bridget Brien 1887 who married and died in England.(have Bridgets birth record)

Bridget was the daughter of James Brien and Catherine Kinsella information from Birth Cert.

I have traced the marriage of her parents James Brien son of Arthur Brien(deceased)  living Killena/ To Catherine Kinsella 20yrs daughter of John Kinsella ,labourer.

Witnesses Thomas Johnston and Alice Brien.
 Ceremony performed Ballygarrett R.C.  Church/

I know that Bridget had a sister Mary other siblings?
Would like to find mothers names for James Brien and Catherine Kinsella.

One small piece of information that has been passed to me by a family member is that when they visited Ireland as small children they visited with  James Kinsella & wife  James was postman at Kilmuckridge and he was an Uncle.  Also Auntie Mary married a James Leary(O'leary)and lived near Enniscorthy on a small farm had no children but fostered two girls.  This farm is where the family stayed when visiting.
So possibly James and Mary where siblings to Bridget.
I have information that I can share about Bridgets  life and family in England.
Any information or help a big thankyou in advance..Joyce

The base at Arrowe Park was used by Americans in 1939/45. The  Hospital which was inside the original park, not at the location of the present Arrowe Park Hospital, was a convalescent  Hospital for injured soldiers as was Bidston Avenue School at Bidston.

William McInnes.  I have been going round with this for a couple of years,,  Thanks for your in terest and I will look into it....J

Hi.  I'm trying to trace the marriage of Patrick Dowdall and Annie Byrne  I have no date.                                              Their son Denis Dowdall was born  8Oct 1912. I    have a   record of baptism 9oct 1912 Roman Catholic. Wexford. witnesses Mary Rossiter and Denius Byrne   I think that there were older children Patrick, Mathew?
I am posting to the Kildare site because I have been informed that there is a Denis Dowdall president of an antique car club who could be a family connection.
Any information ?,  thankyou !         J.D.

Hi, Thomas Hall, son of William and Martha Hall(nee Mason) brother to Edwin Hall, witness to the marriage of Edwin and Elizabeth Lawrence.    That's the total of my information re;Thomas
I did get a little confused with the William Lawrence and Ann James thing, but hey!! its easy to get confused with all these Williams going in both sides of the family. I would never accuse you of confusing me, I do a fine job all on my own.....Ha Ha..Take care..Joyce.
