Good grief, it's huge!  Your cousin and my mum's cousin would have known each other then as they were both based in Langar.  May they all rest in peace.   :'(

Yes I have. Thank you.  No photos available but I received a lovely reply to my email and a detailed list of crew members were sent to me by Raymond Glynne-Owen.  Thanks Raymond (if you're on here!)   :)

World War Two / 207 squadron Langar, 1943

Does anyone know where I might find photos of crew members?  My second cousin was killed on 2 October 1943 when his plane crash landed on take off at Langar (DV184 or 187, I think).  Would the RAF records have a photograph if I order those?  Most of the 207 squadron websites seem to be quite old.  His name was Robert Mitchell Appleton (age 23).  Thank you! ;)

Here's a photo of her aged about 60.  I think it must be her. Sorry it's small.  Haven't time to scan it at the moment!  She married in 1908 so maybe it is her wedding picture?

Thank you Carol, much appreciated.  Does anyone have any ideas about date? My grandmother was born in 1887.  Could this be her?  I'm guessing she'd be around 20 in this photo so 1907 ish?  Would that fit in with the wide hat and cameo necklace??

Hi Seoras, I'm afraid that's all I have.  The photo has uploaded at its actual size and there's nothing written on the back.  It looks like a passport photo size?? and doesn't appear to be a part of a larger photo which has been cut down.

In case anyone is interested, I now have confirmation that this is indeed my grandfather wearing his St. John ambulance uniform.  Many thanks for your help.  ;D

Please could someone help me date this?  I'm guessing it was a wedding picture as she appears to be wearing a buttonhole and a very large hat!  I'm also guessing it's early 1900s.  If it's my grandmother it would probably have been taken in Darlington, Co. Durham.

Any help appreciated.

Yes you're correct.  The 1907 birth is also registered as a death in the same quarter. Thank you!
