Hello all from a newbie.
I am trying to find out about my father in law Fus L.A.C Troth.
He came from Bedworth in Warwickshire and joined the Royal Welch Fusiliers during the 2nd world war.
He was then transferred? to the Kings Regiment and ended up in Burma with the Chindits possibly as a muleteer.
We know his date of capture by the Japanese was 07/05/43 and he survived the war returning home in 1945. We believe he may have been in Rangoon Jail but he spoke very little of his ordeal which left him in bad health.
Unfortunately he died 7 years ago.
Any information would be a great help to the family.
