Cheshire Lookup Requests / Ince Parish Records
« on: Thursday 12 June 08 09:31 BST (UK)  »
Hi
I wonder if anyone out there has access to the PR's for INCE?
I have WILLIAM BEECH b Ince 1796 and his wife ANNE bTrafford 1791.  I believe they married in 1813 and they are the only Beech family in Ince at this time.

On the 1841 census they have 4 children with them whose birth years range from 1821 to 1832.  So it's not unlikely that this couple had older children who had flown the nest by 1841.

I have been contacted by 2 people who are descended from other Beeches born in Ince, Jonathon Beech born 1820 and Thomas Beech born 1818.
After searching the census' I've also found John Beech born Ince 1814 and George  Beech also born Ince in 1817.

Their ages fit well for them to have been children of William and Anne but only John's baptism appears on the IGI as their child.

Could anyone find out if Thomas, George and Jonathan were also their children?

Any help would be great.
Regards
Bev T

Hi
my great aunt Daisy Molyneux married George Prince in Liverpool in 1823.  They emigrated to Ontario, Canada, about 1930ish.
They had 2 children both born in Liverpool....Edna who married a man named KEETCH in Onterio and Eric who married a lady named Betty.
George worked for the GEC company in Ontario where he was electocuted and died whilst at work.
Daisy died sometime after 1966 in Ontario.
Eric stayed but Edna and her husband alonng with 2 children emigrated to New Zealand.
My mum is 84 and would dealy love to make contact with any relatives of these people so any assistance would be greatly recieved
Many thanks Bev

Dear Valda and Jason
You really are wonderful to take the time and trouble to give me such detailed information.  I'll get in touch with Staffs Archives now and will have to arrange a visit to NA.
MANY, MANY THANKS TO YOU BOTH

Hi All
thanks for the replies.
I have checked on the national archives web site but I cannot find anything that helps on it.  I know the info is there but I'm just not clever enough to navigate around it!!
The names of the 2 are WILLIAM DIX born 1821 Staffordshire who was in Parkhurst in 1881 and his son also WILLIAM DIX born 1850 in Bilston, Staffs who was in Bortal Prison, Medway Kent in 1881.
Ta again
Bev

Hi
could anyone help me find out why my 2xGreat Grandad and his son were in prison in 1881????
They were in separate prisons but  it coincided with the rest of the family moving away from Staffordshire and changing the family name.
I have been in touch with the prisons but they say that no records are held by themselves.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
