Hello again,

Yes both John Formby's were blacksmiths. confirmed on the marriage certificate.
Jane Fairclough was indeed born in Lathom. Her father was Richard Fairclough was a miller.
Are you on ancestry? I have a lot of info if you want to see it.

In reply to your message re John and Jane Formby.
John Formby born 1810 married Jane Fairclough born 1827 at The Holy Family RC Church in Ince Blundell lancs on the 4th March 1848. Their marriage certificate quotes a John Formby as his father. They had nine children.

Thank you very much for the information, my mother's maiden name was Formby and all my ancestors apart from a few stayed in Formby...................I will try and research your given info and see what transpires.
I do know several Formby's emigrated but I will try and check the names you have given.

John Formby and Jane Fairclough are on my family tree on Ancestry, and other members of this family.
They were married 1848  at the Holy Family in Ince Blundell................John was a blacksmith.
