The problem is he didn't use Ernest or e on most things and to make things worse half the time they spell Cain with an e as well so it's double checking on all.
His father on the marriage certificate is listed as deceased stage manager he couldn't have a unusual name like Ada's father Meshech no problems there!
Even on the marriage certificate Ada is listed as May Thompson and John's profession domestic butler in St James Street Yarmouth.

Does any one know of any hospitals or hospices in the Chertsey area in the 1920's maybe for breathing complaints

Thanks

Hi I've looked up the workhouses no luck what I am wondering were there any catholic children's homes around the area?
Will have to get the death certificates for Ivy and Harold. I am looking into hospitals or hospice's in Chertsey as the family suffered from asthma this could be a link to Harold's death being registered there.
My problem is John Ernest their father trying to trace his origins I have his death certificate and his marriage certificate unfortunately his father is listed as John Cain not exactly an unusual name.

Thank you again for your help

Thank you

Not sure about Ivy's death although I know she was the eldest and born in 1907. I had seen the Harold death before but cannot work out how he died in Surrey age 13 when they were in a home in Southend. Are they in your tree?

Kind regards and thank you again for you help
