???  Some years ago I found a burial for Robert MAPLETOFT, 5 July 1757, in Horsington.  I cannot now see where I found that entry.
I am particularly interested in any mention of his age at his death.
Is anyone able to help me?

Found it.  Sorry everyone.  It is on Lincs to the Past.

Hi Gail,

I am also researching Dionesius Kelly, as he is one of my ancestors. Since you have the marriage cert of daniel kelly and Katherine manley, does it list their father's occupations? Also it is possible dionesius was also known as denis.

Looking forward to your response.

Hi again,

I also have a list of their children that were bap in Catholic Church.  They fit with my family quite well.

Gail.

Hi, I will attach the certificate.  If you think there is a connection we can talk more.

Gail.

I have contacted searchr by email, however, if anyone else has an interest and was following this thread:

I have today received the certificates for Elizabeth Markwell's 3rd marriage and her death.  And yes!  It is absolutely true!  She did marry Thomas Scupholm in 1858 and then die the following year in 1859.

One of her sisters is witness at the marriage and another sister was present at her death.

If anyone is of this family and would like a copy of the certificates just let me know.

Also, her niece married Thomas Scupholm's son, Marshall Scupholm.

Hi,

I have only recently been able to get their fathers names  because at last I have found their marriage certificate.  I have no idea where in Cork they came from and no idea what their mothers names were.

I usually think that the 1851 census is best you can get for their ages.  1841 is inexact and in 1851 they are as young as you can get them and least likely to have lost count.  This shows Daniel to be 10 years older than Catherine.  I wonder if he had a previous marriage?  That is something to think about.

Thanks Gail.

I am thinking that St Mary the Virgin Eccles is quite a long walk from Clifton.  Though I am not on the spot to know precisely the geography nor the customs of the parishioners.

Clifton is in the ecclesiastical parish of Eccles.  All of the other children, including Thomas, were baptized at St Saviour's, Ringley, probably because it was nearer or maybe even because there is a plaque in the old chapel that states, "This Chappell was erected at ye cost and charges of Nathan Walworthe, son to Elis Walworthe, Ano Do 1625".

There are several Nathan's baptizing children, even in Ringley, at this time.

As you mention there is an Ellen, dau of Nathan, buried 5 months, in 1830 at St Mary the Virgin, but there is also a Rebecca, dau of Nathan, buried 2 years, in 1835 at St Mary the Virgin.

True I still have some unanswered questions.  I have not found the burial of the first wife who was called Elizabeth and/or Betty.  There is certainly time to fit in another child, or two, after Thomas - between the birth of Thomas in 1828 and the remarriage of Nathan in 1833.

This is all not to say, however, that for some reason they had to bury a little Ellen at St Mary the Virgin.  As you mention a baptism would be helpful.

I am sorry, I am obviously being rather thick but I can't quite understand who or what you mean.  Sorry.   ???

Do you mean that this is a daughter, second child, from Nathan's first marriage??
