Hi aancestorsearch, I will message you some details.  A number of Walter photos are held in the Sussex archives, copies of which I have.     James Henry Taylor Kevis was my wife's second great grandfather/

Kent / Re: Challinor brothers in Dover

Hi
Regretably no!  The lady (very helpful - credit to the council) could find no record of a burial for Joseph or Richard.  However the was a George, and she is going to get the details for me tomorrow.  She suggest that they may have been cremated at Barham - the nearest crematorium to Dover.  Alternatively they were returned to a family grave in Wales?
I will contact the Cremitorium for any info they have.

Kent Lookup Requests / Re: After Headstone Infomation
« on: Friday 09 September 11 14:37 BST (UK)  »
Hi Lyn
This is a very large cemetry, I found the marker for HH, and checked all the graves around it but could not find a headstone for Mc Garry.  However the grave markers are confusing and there are several grave yards linked together, so i may not have even been in the right place!!  There was no-one around to ask for directions.
Can I suggest you follow the link that Rog left in a prevous post?
Sorry

Phoned Dover Council, the lady who knows where all the graves are, is on holiday until 19 Sept.  Until she returns they cannot tell me if the Challinors are buried in Dover!
