Gee whiz - doesn't pay to look away, great replies.
Andrew STUART or STEWART seems to be a very common name unfortunately.
Andrew Thomas STUART was born 1814 in Lishdu, Tyrone. And is one of the Castlestuarts that I've seen in the Peerage pages. And there seems to be a few Andrew Godfrey STUART's in earlier and later generations!!!!!
From what I have found these are the first four children of Andrew Thomas and Mary :-
Andrew Godfrey born 23 Feb 1841 Williamstown, Vic (I descend from this Andrew Godfrey)
George Joseph born 1842
Sophia Charlotte born 1843 Buckland, Spring Bay, Tas
Robert Walter born 15 April 1845 Cascades, Port Arthur, Tas.
I have found in total 15 children born to Andrew Thomas and Mary (nee Gilmour).
I managed to get Andrew Godfrey STUART's birth certificate via the online BDM Victoria site.
So now I understand why his birth is recorded under Victoria.

Hi - I am interested in the family name of McANENEY or McANEANEY.
I think Daniel, and perhaps his wife Catherine (nee MACKLE) came from Armagh as that has been stated on his death certificate and children's certificates.
Daniel and Catherine sailed on the 'Royal Charlie' arriving in South Africa in 1860. The 'Royal Charlie' left from Southampton but I don't know where they boarded. Would they have boarded in Ireland?
They then come to NZ in 1864 with two children, Thomas and Anna (Annabella) on the 'Maori'.
I assume these two children were born in Sth Africa.
They then had several more children in NZ.
In 1875 his parents, Daniel and Anne, came out to NZ on the 'Dover Castle', with several of their other children. (Daniel is their eldest son/child).
Where in Armagh did Daniel and Catherine, and Daniel and Anne come from.
I also found that Bernard McAneney, sailed on the Royal Charlie at the same time as Daniel and Catherine. He then came out to NZ early in 1865. So is he from the same family?

I am searching for the arrival of Andrew Thomas STUART into Australia and where he lived up until
his/their arrival in Tasmania.
He comes from Lisdhu, Ireland and his parents are Andrew Godfrey and Sophia STUART (Castlestuart).
I have found that his first child was born in Williamstown, Victoria 23 Feb 1841.
And then have found his third child born in Buckland, Tas 1843.
Have not found his marriage to Mary GILMOUR, which is meant to have been around 1840, nor have I found the birth of his second child, George Joseph, in 1842.
An obituary for his youngest son states that his father, Andrew Thomas STUART, came to Australia
in 1837 and settled around Mt Macedon.
I have not been able to confirm this fact either.
