Yes, my parents probably have this information and the certificates but I cannot contact them at present. I have a feeling that Frederick Harding died after the 2nd WW in Hastings, Sussex. I did not know some of this information so thank you. Sydney William Slingsby was my grandfather whom Ann Elizabeth Harding married.

Thanks, Casalguidi. Yes, Ann Elizabeth is my grandmother who married from the College in Ashford. There was a reason why I thought that my great-grandmother, Kate Breakspear, had been married before but I would need to go back over my records. I have not done any research for a while and need to cross-match some archive research and replies to my requests.

Hi, no as far as I am aware my grandmother was not working at that time but living at home with her parents at a different address from the one given on the wedding certificate. I have found Frederick Harding rather elusive apart from knowing that he was an army musician/bandsman and that my grandmother and siblings grew up at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. I do not know where he was before Sandhurst apart from serving in the Boer War and being born in Camberwell, London (I only found that out yesterday as I thought he came from Surrey). My next step is to investigate his military career.

Yes, now I can see the connection. My great-grandfather (Frederick Harding) may have served with him during the Boer War and then moved to Ashford and worked for him there. I will do further research into this and would welcome any further information. Thank you.

Please could anyone see if they are able to locate information re a Frederick Harding from Camberwell b c1877. He is on the 1911 census aged 33 Army Musician, Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. b Camberwell married to Kate Breakspear 1902. I am having difficulty finding information on his whereabouts between his birth and 1911. I know that he was involved in the Boer War for part of that time. Which military records should I search to obtain this information, where are they located and are any of them available to search online? Any information welcome. Where are the records for this time period at Sandhurst located and how accessible are they?
