Just had a look at the CWGC and I did indeed contact them in 2020.
Turns out that as I was a "Guest" on the "The Great War (1914-1918) Forum, 4th Battalion South Lancashire Regiment" website, I could not be contacted.
Now joined and posted a screenshot of acceptance by War Graves Commission.

Hi Sandra,
Joseph Blease (1863-1915) was my great grandfather.
Until fairly recently I knew very little regarding his death in 1915.
I found a newspaper report stating that he was killed on sentry duty at Basingstoke Station.
Further research pointed me to Bank Quay railway station in Warrington, where I was informed that there was a plaque in the station with names of railway workers killed in WW1.
Unfortunately, I could not locate the plaque.
I also looked at the Cenotaph in Warrington for his name with no success.
I may have contacted the War Graves Commission, but cannot remember.
Not been on Rootschat for a few years, and only came across your posting by accident.

Interesting !

Information I have is that  William Henry Backler, was born 19th February 1844 then baptised in the parish of St. Philip, Birmingham on 25th March 1844.  His father was an Officer of Police living at Inge Street, Birmingham.

William Henry died at the age of 35 on 30th December 1879 in the police station at Ladywood Road, Birmingham. No record found as yet of his partner (the mother of William b 1859) or of a marriage.   At the time, William Henry and his father William both lived in Ladywood Road, Birmingham, probably at the same address, which was the police station.
The only link that I have between William b1959 and William Henry b1844 is the marriage certificate of William to Ann Maria Smith in 1888 at Walsall. Both William b1859 and his father William Henry b1844 are shown as bakers on the marriage certificate.

Sorry everyone.
It is William, born 1859 ish. Not Henry.
William Henry is his father.
The whole of my Backler line is either William or Henry and I sometimes get confused going forward and backward through the tree.
Apologies again for the confusion.

Who is he with in 1871? He is a servant with the Williams family of Elbroad Street, in the St Philips and Jacobs district of Biristol.

Who is his father with? William Henry is with his father and mother (William and Anne) at the police station in Edgbaston, Birmingham.

I can't seem to find a Henry Backler born c1859 Bristol unless the surname is incorrectly spelled. It is William who was bon in Bristol around 1859.

Does his father's name come from a marriage certificate or somewhere else? A copy of the marriage certificate is the only link I have that links William to William Henry. William married Anne Smith in 1888 at Walsall. William's father is shown as William Henry Backler, a baker.
I have never found anything about William's mother. William Henry (William's father) has been linked to a Susanna Cobbold Page on Ancestry.com, but I have researched this and ruled it out.

Thanks.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I have been struggling with Henry Backler for a while.
The 1871 census gives his age as 16, so born in 1855.
1881 census he is 29, so born in1852.
1888 marriage certificate says age 29, so born in 1859
1891 census he is 32, so born in 1859.
1901 census he is 36, so born in 1865.
Why does William not show on the 1911 census. His wife and all children are shown  in Pierpoint Street in Warrington.
1930 death, shows him as 72, so born in 1858.

Trying to find information on Henry Backler.
I have found him in the 1871, 1881, 1891 and 1901 census records.
Each one states that he was born in Bristol.
I have quite a lot of information on his father, William Henry Backler.
This branch of the Backlers were from Walsall/Birmingham.
I cannot think any reason as to why Henry Backler would be born in Bristol.
Perhaps Henry was illegitimate and his birth was never recorded.
I have never been able to find anything about Henry's mother either.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Which William Taylor  is yours?

The one born 1897 or the one born 1895
I think the one born 1897 based on 1939 register.
It looks as though he must have married an Ivy née Davies at some point 1920s or earlier - not found it yet.
A public family tree on Anc*y gives following info.

William Taylor born 3 April 1897 Warrington - detail taken from 1939 register
son of William Simpson Taylor & Alice

William Taylor married age 25 occ Gold Beater, father William labourer
spouse Ivy DAVIES (copy of  1922 m/c)
Lists 6 children one private

They say his death is John William Taylor born 13 Dec 1902 died 1970 Warrington  ???
that can't be correct due to his dob
Thanks. You are quite right, death cannot be 1970 as birth shown 1902. I had not spotted this. Still leaves the mystery as to when he did die.

Ivy Taylor died 1950 Newton Lancashire

No details on mother Alice as to her maiden name or when she married William Simpson Taylor

I posted the above earlier

William Simpson Taylor’s son William was born in 1895 rather than 1897.

Ada Taylor, mother’s maiden name Newall, Jun qtr 1894 Warrington

William Taylor, mother’s maiden name Newall, Sep qtr 1895 Warrington <<<

Arthur Taylor, mother’s maiden name Newall, Jun qtr 1898 Warrington

These appear to be the baptism of the above children (Lanc OPC)

27 Sep 1894 St Paul, Warrington, Lancashire, England
Ada Taylor parents William Taylor occ Slater & Alice
    Born: 15 Aug 1894
    Abode: Dallam Lane

28 Nov 1895 St Paul, Warrington, Lancashire, England
William Taylor parents William Taylor occ Slater & Alice
    Born: 11 Aug 1895

5 May 1898 St Paul, Warrington, Lancashire, England
Arthur Taylor parents William Taylor occ Slater & Alice
    Born: 7 Mar 1898

Couldn't find anything for dau Florence from 1911c  ???

edit - possible death of father William Simpson Taylor from familysearch

England, Cheshire Parish Registers, 1538-2000
William Simpson Taylor age 67
burial 17 Jun 1938 St Anne, Warrington, Lancashire
This looks correct for death. Assumes birth 1871 or 1870
