Almost certainly Knole, Sevenoaks which is a National Trust property.

Kent / Kent History and Library Centre User Group- online digital images
« on: Friday 25 October 13 18:08 BST (UK)  »
If you have used the Kent History and Library Centre for family history or any research either in the Community History area or the searchroom and think it could be improved you might like to know about the Kent History Centre Archive User Group.  This was recently set up to improve the experience of archive users/family historians/genealogists at the KHLC, Maidstone.

Another issue that we hope to highlight is that digital images of many of the Kent archive records are listed on FamilySearch; however the images can only be viewed by members of the LDS, at a FamilyHistory Centre or at the KHLC using Kent History Source. This is not providing good access to a key resource. For sometime the Kent County Council website has said that Kent History Source will eventually be available in all Kent libraries- the more the people of Kent there are who say they would want the images available in their local library the sooner it might happen.

Hi Andy & Philippa

Thanks for the link, Andy- just tried it and it works - hooray.
Philippa, I was beginning to wonder what the problem might be as I have been getting the same error message for a couple of days both at home and at the local library.

Joan

Thanks for that- definitely William.  I am inclined to think that Finet  mother of Nicholas christened 1597  and Finaet mother of William christened 1599 are 2 different women. Interesting to know where William and Finaet married.

Hi Steve

It was very cheering to see the information you posted on Nathaniel Collington- the details do seem to fit.  I had put Nathaniel aside for about a year as I seemed to be getting nowhere.  Possibly there is a connection with Robert Collington of Mickfield mentioned on the National Archives website.  Still have not worked out if Fynet [Finaeta] married Nicholas Ryng or William Ryng or both or if there are 2 Fynets [Finaetas]
