Thank you. If the information appeared on the Death Cert I wouldn't be bothering to ask any questions.  Documentation re the investigation is a combined effort of many researchers and the Robson News Article is not a subject of interest to discuss re: my g/g/father John Robson Charleton etc. Again, if I had factual information I would not be bothering to waste your time and mine. I will close this topic and find another way to gain the information I need. Cheers ... thanks for the effort ... too many detours ...

The information I have is from an extended family member who visited Elsdon to find the answers. (Sorry I am new to Rootschat and not quite up to speed on navigating).

Thank you for the information on Wm Potts. Cheers

Thank you Matilda1
I have ALL the information from when they landed NZ.  The data in question is Northumberland ancestry pre-1834. Many extended family have shared their research and I am sifting through to find the facts.  Many thanks for your thoughtfulness.
Cheers

Thank you for establishing parentage of Ann ROBSON mother of Richard William Charleton. Does this info also pertain to Hannah Charleton?

I do not know if this is the same Ann ROBSON who married - George CHARLETON b 24 Nov 1800 md Ann ROBSON 19 Jun 1824 with birth at 21 Jan 1809 (age 15 at marriage?) (not necessarily established as fact).

Advice rec'd was UK naming conventions would show a mother or g/mother named "Hannah" in the ROBSON line as "Hannah" does not appear in this particular CHARLETON ancestry.  These two particular children were not named in the family Bible in New Zealand and there are no further statistics other than they were the children of George and Ann ROBSON CHARLETON.

A speculation is there may have been 2 Ann ROBSON's connected to George CHARLETON. (My g/g/gparents).  Thank you for the lead to William Potts as I have also been given the parentage as John ROBSON and Isabel FOSTER, but this parentage does not connect to Ann ROBSON believed to be an 'only' daughter.

I appreciate your time and considerations.

Married George Charl(e)ton 19 June 1824 Whitfield, Northumberland
1 son Richard William CHARLETON b 1 May 1826
2 dau Hannah CHARLETON b 12 August 1828
-- Departed Liverpool 1834 vessel "Clyde" (Capt Ireland) to Australia
3 dau Margaret Ireland Charleton b 29 April 1834 born aboard Clyde
-- Arrived Australia without Richard Wm and Hannah. Only Margaret on Passenger List.

Who are parents of Ann ROBSON? Any suggestions how to find them?
Cannot find any information on the first two children.

George and Ann arrived Kawhia New Zealand about 1840 -- have other children.
Suggestions appreciated. Cheers
