Just following up on my last post. I was able to track Lair 992 to approx co-ordinates 55.89923 N 4.27393 W, looking down the hill into the cemetery. Sadly, there was no headstone. The nearest intact headstone on the left was 984 though it has fallen. The nearest standing on the left was 983. The nearest intact headstone on the right was 1013 though it has fallen. The nearest standing on the right was 1016.

Overall, I have found 60 relatives buried in 19 lairs in the cemetery, 16 of which have headstones.

Death entry under Bullion but gravestone Bunyan.

Can you please tell me where the gravestone is? Do you have any pictures?

As part of my research I'm trying to trace all descendants of John Bunyan/Bullion and Elizabeth Forbes.
I've found approx 1250 so far.
Link to my tree: BUNYAN TREE
If anyone is interested, please get in touch.

Hi All,
I just wanted to say thank you as some of the maps and other advice on this thread have proved very helpful. My grandparents and great-grandparents plus a number of other close relates are buried in St Kentigern's and I've been able to locate approx 20 graves (approx 50 relatives total) and document their locations. All still have headstones although some of the older ones aren't looking great.
I've recently discovered a my great-grandfather's first wife (not my great-grandmother) was buried in Lair 992 in Section 1, buried 28 Sep 1898. I am hoping to get a chance to visit the cemetery soon to see if a headstone still exists but I'm not sure how hopeful I am of finding one after so long, or even being able to locate the lair if there are few remaining stones in the area.

Does anyone have much knowledge of the layout of Section 1 and might have suggestions towards finding Lair 992?

Michael

Ayrshire / Elizabeth Forbes (born bet 1771-1804, died bet 1831-1841)
« on: Friday 13 May 11 13:32 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I am looking to see if anyone has any information on Elizabeth Forbes (born bet 1771-1804, died bet 1831-1841). Her birth date is likely to be in the 1790s but I can't be sure.

She married John Bollion/Bullion/Bunyan and they had 5 children, all born in Prestwick:
Helen, born ~1819
Elizabeth, both ~1823
James, born ~1824
Francis, born ~1827
Anne, born ~1831

Any information on her or her children would be appreciated.

Regards,
Michael

Hi,

James Bollion and Helen Wallace were my 5xgreat-grandparents.

I would be interested in communicating. Can you please send me your email address?

Thanks,
Michael
