I know about David in Australia - his starting point was the research that we did at St Catherine's House, Portugal Street and the various County Records Offices in the 1980s - before the internet. We met his father when he came to England.
Do you know anything about the Henry Backaller who was the minister ejected from Combe St Nicholas during the 1660s - after Cromwell left? We know he went to Oxford and preached locally.
