Hello, Sue:

I have one HEDGES but several direct HEDGE ancestors!

However, I just tried the link you posted and it doesn't come up.  Will check for a new one but wanted to let you know.

Thanks so much for this post!  I've been away from the Forums, in general, for quite a while but I can't believe I missed this one, considering when you made it.

I directly descend from Ann HURST (? - 1627) who married Robert BRECK (1563 - 1644) 1591 St Mary, Prescot, Lancs.  They were 11th-greats of mine.

Cheers!

Hello!

There is a thread going on HEVENINGHAM here:  https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=16440.0

Is that of any help to you?

Just getting back into it ... hope to hear from you there or here!  ;D

Hi, drhenningham!

I'm still here but not often on the Forums (in Chat instead) but decided to check the Names Forum today and came across this old thread.  Apologies for not staying up-to-date with it.

I'm in the U.S. but all my HEVENINGHAM ancestors were early on in England.

My direct line (as best I've determined; haven't researched lately) is:

John (1313 - 1375) - Joan GISSING (? - 1395)
John (1359 Essex - 1425 Suffolk) - Margery MNU
John ( ? -1499 Suffolk) - Alice BRUYN ( 1443 - 1473)
George and Margaret BURGOYNE as in the earlier posts.

The name in my direct line ends with their daughter Margaret m. Jasper PHESANT.

Hope we can resurrect this thread and learn what's new from each other and the last few years!

Occupation Interests / Missing ship information

Hello!

Posting for a friend (not a member here) who cannot locate any information on an ancestor's ship:

Michael Henderson (b.1774 Wallsend, Northumberland - poss. death 1839 Tynemouth), Seaman, was admitted to the Dreadnought Hospital in 1834. His admission record gave his last ship's name as "Thornton."  Friend hasn't been able to find anything on the ship.

Any thoughts on or hints to locating information about the ship?

Thank you very much!
