Thanks SO much for all the replies, I'm amazed at the speed and scale of replies. Unfortunately it doesn't look like my guy but it was worth checking. Thanks for the links to further resources, I'm going to continue searching Canadian records for them. Other members of Mary's (my GG aunt) family emigrated to Canada so it's worth checking. I can't find any trace of Mary or her husband after their marriage in Irish records so there is a chance they emigrated. Her brother Walter Glover is proving just as elusive.

Thanks again for all your help.

Hi All,
New to this Canada forum and looking for some advice. This person could possibly be part of my tree but I have never searched Canadian records so any help would be much appreciated.

I suspect he may have married my GG aunt Mary Glover

You might have seen this already but just in case I'm posted the link below. It's a collection of photos in the Yeates/Dixon family collection. I wish I had such archives for my family.

Hi Hallmark,
I am not related to the Yeates family but I do have an interest in Rebecca Yeates. I am based in Dublin and I am doing a bit of research into the building where I work. It's over 200 years old and was previously a soap and candle factory owned by George Dixon (Rebecca's husband). The business was established in 1813 and as far as I know it was still operating until 40 years ago. I'll try and attach a drawing of the building. I have some details on their children's births if you are interested, although you probably have them at this stage. You are welcome to anything I have that might be of use.

PS Attachment is too large so here's the link instead

1901 Dublin - missing Tolka Cottages, Drumcondra. I'm not sure what category of 'missing' they fall into.

Thanks Barry,
That's a really interesting article. It really makes me think that somebody, somewhere might have been exaggerating their 'success'.

No luck finding a death record here for him Rosball. Although that's not unusual as lots of deaths were never registered. The search continues.....

Apologies for the duplication. Could you be kind enough to merge the threads as majm suggests. Thanks
