London and Middlesex / parents of John Watts
« on: Monday 16 January 12 22:31 GMT (UK)  »
Can anyone help me solve a very big brick wall.  John Watts bapt 1812 St Marys,Hayes,Middx was the son of Thomas and Sarah -maiden name unknown. John had siblings-Thomas,Hannah,Fanny and very possibly Mary.
For years I have tried to find the answer. At the same time as Thomas had his children baptized there was a Joseph and Maria having theirs baptized-maybe Joseph and Thomas were brothers.
I cant solve where Thomas and Sarah came from or married. Lots of people said it was Thomas and a Sarah Kettle from Cambs but the childrens births dont fit.
Thanks

Thank you but was particuarly looking for James and Charles both of Dover.
As I say the last of James I found was the 1881 at 33 Marine Parade,Dover as a footman -no trace of Charles after 1871.

If anyone can help me find their baptisms etc would be most grateful.

Hi. I am trYing to find proof of this birth/baptism. I believe he had a brother Charles born 1866 Dover. Their mother was a Phoebe Watts. In 1871 they are lodging in Hillingdon with their mother and sister Emily.
1881 James is a footman at 33 Marine Parade,Dover for the Passingham family. He then seems to disappear withoout trace as does his brother after 1871 census.

Very grateful for any help.Thanks

Sarah was apparently the daughter of a John  and Jane Watts. She was apparently born in Kidlington,Oxford dist c1824.. Her father was John c1786 Middleton Cheney,Northants. I am trying to find proof of this. She married a Charles Bennett who was born in Hillingdon.
Thanks :)

hI AGAIN EVERYONE. I have considered all the info and think the Henry Skinner who was in The Royal Marines in Kent is a possibility now. It appears he was on The Royal Marine Medal Roll as Deal/11861-does anyone know how I can find the record.Cheers
