For the record the line I am searching are the Kuntze of Southampton. Frank Kuntze, his wife Caroline Ada Kuntze, siblings -- Herman Kuntze and the particular attention on the sister -- Pauline Louisa Kuntze who married Percy Vincent Bowyer of Southampton.

napway -- a bit late in the day for me to come forward but as a gesture of goodwill, I have the marriage certificate for James and Miranna.

Miranna died in 1945 and she's buried with her sister in Southampton. She does originate from the Channel Islands. As oppose to James he's a case of hit and miss as I cannot fathom out where he came from although I have been told he may well have been born in London.

If you would like to conact me privately I can provide you with dates.

A bit late in the day but Philip Allsopp (son of Alfred and Hilda) who was born in Southampton died in 1986. His death registered at London.

Hilda died in 1974.

Hi Jason,

I must keep visiting this site on a more regular basis.

I am led to believe this orphanage home finally closed in 1943. Before that, I do know for a fact that the old Southampton Titanic Relief Fund Committee use to hold their monthly meetings here. Frederick Woolley was the Secretary of this Orphanage like he was the Secretary of the Relief Fund. The reason was avoid the monthly meetings held down in Portland Terrace for the fear of an unexpected air-raid alert. I have in my posession all 653 pages of the Minute Books of the Relief Fund which I have compiled by hand.

In the past I have made myself a pact to try and find what happened to all the paperwork like Minute Books etc.., and still I am left in cloud nine as no one at Southampton Archives seems to know the actual plight of this valuable material.

I hope I have supplied the above has kind off helped you and other's with some of the unknown answers you're looking for? Otherwise I am very much in the dark like every one else who is frantically trying all desperate measures searching for this lost material.

Hello antamls/Tonyamls - my first post with this site as well.

A very interesting project. However, did you know a Crumplin was one of the many crew lost on Titanic. My area of research does focus on the Titanic Relief Fund Southampton Committee.

At the moment I am trying to work this particular Crumplin as all signs are showing he was in charge/landlord of a pub in Portsmouth. Which one remains unknown as I have to call at Portsmouth records once again, when time the prevails.

Hope this one helps your cause?
