Hi Steve - not sure if we have conversed before. My grandfather was Herbert Walter Jones' brother. Would love to know more about Mabel and her son.
regards Lyn

Denbighshire / Harry or Billy Turner - Rhyl district

I have in my possession a wonderful array of photographs that belong to the Turner family which I am trying to track down.
What I know is....Harry Turner was born in or around Rhyl Wales 13 Dec 1926 ish....and died in the early 1950s.
Harry was in the Royal Navy serving on the Nabsack which visited Australia where he befriended my mother and her family (this would have been mid 1940s). Harry corresponded with my mum for some time swapping photographs of his travels. I also have amongst these photos a picture of his brother 'Billy' who looks about 14 and its labelled 1946 and his sister 'Sandra' who was 2 in 1946. There is also a photograph of the children's mother.
I believe Harry married in the early 1950s and was a father to twin girls who may or may not have been born at the time he was tragically killed.

As you can appreciate these photos are way too precious for me to throw in the bin so am desperately trying to locate a family member to return them to.
If you know anything about this Turner family, I would love to hear from you/them.
