Sean,
good to hear from you.
For the benefit of this list, I'll give a bit of intofmration, but will then sed you a private message with email address so we can work on this.
There were 2 John Traynors born in the Ballina area in 1867, both to Thomas Traynors. Thomas and Bridget Hope of Slievenagark's son married Anne Wynne of Slievenagark, moved to Leeds and moved on to Scotland. I'm working on reconnecting with the family in Scotland that enquired through a neighbor years ago. we have only recently connected all the dots in this family. In short, that Thomas Traynor is my great grandfather's brother. many thanks to my cousin Paddy for tracking it all down.
Thomas Traynor and Catherine Stephens are still a mystery, though Paddy is coming to Boston in March and promises all kinds of info. We are slowly connecting the few unattached traynors in the area (as This Thomas Traynor is) to the tree. We are filling in the generation back...my great great grandfather's siblings. We just connected yet another Thomas Traynor as a son of a sibling of that generation who lived over closer to Crossmolina and found his descendents in SanFrancisco All of this would be easier if we stopped using the same 5 names over and over. But i digress.
I did communicate with a woman a few months ago who indicated that she was descended from a John Traynor from Ardagh or Cloughans (Ballina area). I think hta tshe mentioned that there was a doctor in the mix...John's son or father. I'll have to dig up the email exchange.
I'll send you a private message with my email. Hopefully we will have more info when Paddy visits in March.
Thanks for the reply!
