Hi Matthew

Indeed It is the same person, so we are related, I guess we would be second cousins. I am the grand daughter of George (actual name William George Emrys Jones) and it was my family that came to Australia my mother being Georgina. As in my original post I did indeed go to Wales last year and went to there grave where they are buried with 4 of their children. they had 7 children in total. I have a photo of Josephine as a elderly lady but alas have none of William also some family photos. Do you have much information on the family? I have some and if you would like to message me with your email address and I will get in touch.
Regards
Angie

Hi Ivymary and Joyan

I just got a message about your posts and was amazed to see it generating interest. The family name was Griffiths, and the earliest census I found is 1851 when John Griffiths was the Inn keeper, his son Henry then became the Inn keeper for many years and in 1911 Henry is listed in St Clears as retired postman. Last year I was fortunate enough to pay a visit to St Clears (unfortunately it was on a Saturday and a lot was closed) I would have loved to be able to go around the old church yard but it was all locked up, so will be planning my next visit from Australia with better timing. I was wondering if I would be able to get a picture of the Inn as well if that is possible, it would be fascinating to see what it actually looked like.

Thank you Rob and Hanes Teulu.

I have been having a lot of trouble getting onto the WAGS site myself.
Thank you for the offer of the photo Rob but unfortunately I still can't find any information on where the grave actually is , but l really appreciate the offer.
Cheers

Hi
Would someone be able to tell me where l can find burial records for Cocketts Church yard, I think it's St Peters in Cockett. My mum has just told me that her maternal granmother is buried there as she remembers going there when she was young. unfortunately l don't have a date of death but it was in the late 40's after the war, and her name is Eliza Jane Griffiths nee Hanney. I would also be interested to see if she is in a family plot.
Thanks for any help.
