Hi luciacw
I'm from the Emerald Isle and have just come back from a fabulous week in Montrose - what a beautiful town. My grandad was born in North Esk Road and we visited all the sites associated with my family. However ... we missed out on Sleepyhillock Cemetery. I noticed that you offered to help regarding Montrose (when on holidays from University) so I am emboldened to ask for your help.
I had an ancester (my grandad's 1st cousin) named Robert Moir Smith who was buried in Sleepyhillock Cemetery. He died on 16 Dec 1926 and there are five (5) people buried in the grave. Is there any chance that you, or any other kind soul, could have a look for the grave and let me have the inscription - or even a photo of the stone. I would really appreciate it.
BTW I notice that you use the Gaelic location Aonghas. Are you a Gaelic speaker?
Best wishes and thanks in advance.
Hi my name is Scott Robert Smith. I am Robert Moir Smith's Nephew. My dad was his Brother and I am very intrested in making contact with the person seeking info about Robert Moir Smith. We have very limited knowledge of our family tree. I came across this message by pure chance. I have a photo of our plot. My sister and I live in New Zealand.
