Re the name "Gullum" The French for William is "Guillaume" and I believe that your record of the name is from the church record, Latin for "William".  It may help your research to use William.

I am very excited to find some FORDs, however spelled (spelling just did not matter way back).  If anyone has a dna test (male or female) at FTDNA please join Project FORY and I will be happy to help put more together.  I also have a very large tree/database at Ancestry.com where I have been "collecting" kin and hoping to find more connections.
From any testing service, please upload your results to GedMatch.com (free!) and you will find 3x as many matches...the really cool part is when you match someone, they tell you how many gen. back to your ancestor in common.  My kit # at GedMatch is A915939, and if you match I would really appreciate hearing from you so we can figure out more...my contact info is posted there.

My FOYs are from Co Mayo.  In the 1830's several lived in Carramore, Backs/Knockmore, according to baptism records which also show some as sponsors for one another's children.  There are several different Patrick FOYs at the same time, likely all closely related.  Some of the other families with them there were SYRON/SYNON, MANLEY/MUNNELLY.  There are several places called "Carramore" one is sw of Ballina, one just w of Lacken, another nr Belmullet.  My ancestor Patrick FOY b est 1797 m Catherine MANLEY MUNNELLY abt 1827.  All but one of their children were baptized in Co Mayo, except the youngest who was b after they emigrated to Waukegan, IL, USA in 1849.  Shortly before they left Ireland they were living in Ballina, south & east sides.  Various misspellings incuding FAY, FARY on US census records.  I have a large tree, including some in England & PA, also dna results FTDNA, dna.Ancestry, GedMatch.  Would love to connect.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post the info about the places in Co Mayo and who lived where.  Here are some "odds & ends"...Some of the COLEMAN family also lived in Kilcolman.  Coilmore  is sw of hamlet "Curry" which is sw of "Tobercurry".  The town of Tobercurry is in Co Sligo, not far from Claremorris, and I think the CURRYs were from there earlier. "Drumneen" is also known as "Prendergast", north of Claremorris.
There were some EGANs in early Chicago, like 1830's, possibly relatives as there were also FOYs there.  I have found that many times the same families tended to marry back & forth, at least until 1-2 gen after they came to USA.  They also tended to re-use first names which can be a clue to grouping them.
Ann HALLIGAN (1845-1931) who m William Joseph FOY (1843-1922) is dau of John HALLIGAN (1820-)+Bridget "Biddie" CURRY (1825-).
I also have a Berry HOLLAND b abt 1784 whose family came to Greenville, SC, USA.  There were also HOLLANDs in Co Mayo (m my MEARS/MYERS cousins, moved to Maine.  I have wondered if he may have had a BERRY mother.  His father James HOLLAND (1749-1819) b VA.  Jacob BERRY b abt 1853 IL, Henry b 1856 IL, Sarah b 1849; father Peter b 1816 PA.

BERRY's many in Claremorris. Garryredmond is located just e of Claremorris (where bef this?).  Derreenascoba (Foys of Peter's Pioneers) is just west of Claremorris, so likely connected.  FOYs likely came into Mayo fr Donegal (maybe Scotland) long ago.  I have a cousin who told me they "have always gone back & forth, hundreds of yrs or more"

Looking for FOYs I came across your messages.  My ancestors are FOY+MANLEY (MUNNELLY).  My family went to Waukegan IL but others (both sides) went wherever they could, because people were dying of famine...they often had little choice just had to go wherever there was an opening.  A group of MUNNELLYs lived in Belmullet area of Co Mayo, and married PRENDERGASTs (also PENDERGAST) so you might look there.  Some are in my tree at Ancestry.  I was unable to find your link to Richard FOY, but there is a website called "Peter's Pioneers" that is the same group of FOYs.  They had a farm in Derreenascoba and it is still owned by a relative, although not a FOY.  My FOYs lived in Carramore, Backs-Knockmore Diocese (no longer there) but there are several places with that name.  I'm fairly sure they lived in the one sw of Ballina.  My MANLEY/MUNNELLYs lived Moygownaglish Parish, bet Ballina and Ballycastle.  There is a great County Mayo Ancestry group on Facebook where you can get help from members.  I would love to hear from others.  My family are FORD, FOY, MANLEY/MUNNELLY, MEARS/MEER.  Some went to Kansas, NY & PA as well as IL.

Thank you for the support!
I am looking for FORD, FOY, MANLEY/MUNNELLY, MEARS/MEER/MYERS all from Co Mayo.  I have a very large collection in my tree including "prospective" but not proven related.  From Mayo they all went to Canada, USA (IL, PA, MD, MA, NY mainly).
I have posted 10x already.

Cami, I tried to send you a PM but it didn't work and I can't do this w'out a personal contact.  I have a very small dna project at FTDNA and there are 3 HARTs in it.  I would like to put you in contact with each other.  Can you find me on Facebook? Search for Libbet. I am also in a Co Mayo genealogy group and Munnelly group there which often can help answer Q's.  If you can send me a PM here that might also work.  You & I may already have a dna match as well.

I just came across more of the HARTs due to a dna match in my MEER/MEARS family to CONBOY.  Louisa Eliza CONBOY (1820-1897) m John HART (1815-1894).  They were both b Co Sligo just outside Ballina, Co Mayo, and emigrated to Pleasant, Switzerland county, IN, USA.  His father Hugh HART b abt 1795.  One of Louisa-John's dau is named Barbara Anna "Barbary" HART (1860-1943), no doubt namesake for Barbara GAUGHAN.  I also learned some pronounce GAUGHAN as "Giffen"...the GH is often an "F" in Scotland and "K" in Ireland.  So keep that in mind as you look GAUGHAN=GOFF=MCGOFF=MCGUFFIN=GOOKIN=MCGOOKIN....pretty crazy!
