Our research on Patrick shows the following:

JAMES FITZHENRY   MARRIED      ANNA O’NEIL
   (1829 – 1889)      (1845 – 1894)
   (Farm Labourer)         (Servant)


   JAMES             ELIZABETH   JOHN      PATRICK              PETER
(1862 –1927)     (1864 - ?)   ???          (1873 – 1915)        (1883 – 1949)

James, Patrick and Peter emigrated to Lancashire between 1890-1897 but Elizabeth remained behind. 

We have information on James, Patrick and Peter (my Grandfather) but John we cannot trace.

Can anyone help?

Enfield, just joined Rootschat as by chance I was doing a google search on Patrick Fitzhenry, and got directed to this Forum.  Patrick is my Great Uncle! 1875 - 1915

Your details tie up with what we have researched:

1914 – At the outbreak of the war, Patrick volunteered for service with the British Forces.  He joined the Royal Irish Fusiliers on the 14th October, later transferring to the Royal Irish Rifles

1915 – Serving with the 6th Batallion Rifles, he was killed in action on the 6th August during the Landing at Gallipoli.  His name is commemorated on the Hellos Memorial (Panel 177-178) which stands at the tip of the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey.  His name in remembrance is engraved on the War Cenotaph at St Helens, Lancs.

Patrick was married to Catherine Sullivan from Cashel. Tipperary 1877 – 1936

1897 - They arrived in St Helens, had a civil marriage and had eight children:

   Anne      1898 – 1971
   James      1900 – 1949
   John      1902 –1905
   Elizabeth      1904 – 1915
   Francis J      1907 – 1911
   Peter      1908 - ?
   Helen      1910 - ?
   Austin      1916 –1991
