Had a quick look at the headstones in Carland graveyard as I was passing today but it doesn't look likely.   Donaghmore Church of Ireland graveyard is more likely as there are plenty of smiths and Browns there.

The Browns of Kilnaslee would have been Presbyterian and belonged to Castlecaulfield Presbyterian.   The old graveyard they refer to might be the one at Carland Presbyterian Church, it being a much older church than Castlecaulfield.

If your people lived in Congo and were Presbyterians it is more than likely they were members of Carland Presbyterian Church.

Can you write to the current occupant to see if they can tell you? Enclose a stamped self addressed envelope and maybe they will reply.
I do know the name of the current occupant but I don't know how to pm you.

I think you are searching Griffiths wrong, there are 2 entries for a Daniel McGrath in Tyrone - one in the townland of Aughamullan, Clonoe parish and the other in the townland of Drumenny (Stewartstown) in Ardboe parish.
Hope this helps.
