Hello, if this is of any help with your research. I am researching my Thomas Doherty born about 1830 and died after 1872 and his wife Sarah Rourke born about 1830 and died also after 1872. Their son James born 31 Mar 1851 in Ballyshannon and died in Lowell, MA, USA on 6 Apr 1908 is my Great Grandfather. I am and will be researching Ballyshannon and am looking for others that are also, Cheers, Craig Dougherty

Hello my name is Craig Dougherty from Chelmsford, MA, USA. I would like to research my Thomas Doherty and wife Sarah Rourke that lived and died in Ballyshannon. Their family lived there from as early as 1840 to after at least 1911. I work on many family trees and am willing to help those who had ancestors from Ballyshannon that came to the U.S.A, I hope this can be a forum in us helping eachothers with all of our Ballyshannon families.
Cheers, Craig Dougherty

Hello and greetings from across the pond. My name is Craig Dougherty from Chelmsford, MA, USA and I am researching my Thomas Doherty and wife Sarah Rourke  family that lived and died in Ballyshannon from at least before 1840 and to after 1911. Are there any street directories or other sources that I can use to help in my research there? or is there any active Find-A-Grave people in that area that may help me locate their graves in The Rock Ballyshannon - Church Cemetery? I am very excited to come visit my relatives grave in a year or so and walk the streets that they did. Cheers, Craig Dougherty

Hello, Greetings from across the pond. My name is Craig Dougherty from Chelmsford, MA, USA. I have confirmed and have dates of my ancestors living and dying in Ballyshannon from at least 1840 to after 1908. How would I find my Great Great Grandparents Thomas Doherty and wife Sarah Rourke's grave with their children that did not come to America? They were Roman Catholics. I know from birth records that Thomas and Sarah had to die after 1872. Buried with them would be son Anthony who died 12 Mar 1865 at age three. A Thomas who was born 6 Apr 1864  died before 1901. A Michael who was born 20 Jan 1866 and died before 1901. I research a tremendous amount and work on over 100 tree helping people find their roots but this is for me. I plan on coming to Ballyshannon next year or so and would like to pay my repsects at my relatives grave and walk the paths that they did. I will pay for the time and effort put into the request. Thanks and cheers, Craig Dougherty
