One is - he was 20 months. His parents are also buried there, aged 68 and 72. All 3 have NWC after the plot number.

The Common Room / Letters NWC as part of plot number?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows what the letters NWC after a plot number means?
I have come across a burial record with plot number 380NWC, block 10. I have a few family members buried in this same block, and their plot numbers don't have any letter(s) after them, so it doesn't appear to be the standard way of numbering plots.

I'm sure it is something obvious. I know at least one of the 3 people in this plot were cremated - does it identify this somehow?

Thanks in advance :)

Ciderdrinker - that is awesome, thank you so much! That fits, as you have seen, with his occupation at the time of his marriage, which is what I was hoping to see.
I love it when things fall into place like this :)

Thanks everyone for the help and offers.

Thanks for checking for me :)

The 1851 census you saw is correct, Henry snr goes on to be a "carman" for later records. The problem is that there are so many Henry Morgans in the area and they all seem to marry an Eliza!
I was hoping to make a link between Henry Richard Morgan, his wife Eliza Darnell and Henry Darnell Morgan. I'm pretty certain I have it right, but I wanted to try and get a bit more to confirm my thoughts, as it looks like Henry Darnell decides to change his name to Henry John and starts a long family tradition of working as a "French Polisher" (which leads to my g-g grandfather - another Henry - in New Zealand who committed suicide by drinking some of his polishing chemicals).

Henry Darnell/John Morgan and his siblings have their father Henry recorded as a carman on their Banns records, so I had hoped to find the same on the baptism record for Henry, just to tie it all up nicely.

Thanks again for having a look for me, I appreciate it :)

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Henry Darnell Morgan

Hi all,

I'm hoping some lovely person can help me with this guy. I am after one piece of information from a more in depth baptism record for him than the one I have been able to locate.

Name:    Henry Darnell Morgan
Gender:    Male
Christening Date:    24 Apr 1842
Christening Place:    SAINT LEONARDS,SHOREDITCH,LONDON,ENGLAND
Birth Date:    06 Jan 1842
Father's Name:    Henry Morgan
Mother's Name:    Eliza

I can see the baptism record on another site, but I am unable to view it to check for the info I'm after.

What I am hoping someone could find out for me is the occupation (if listed) for his father Henry. I'm crossing my fingers that it matches with other information I have found, so that I can finally make a link I have been after for ages.

I would be extremely grateful if there is someone who can help with this.
Thanks in advance,
fe_nyx

And then to go back to the reference of Henry Charles being the "second son" - with Henry George dying, that would make him to second living son.

Or, if William Thomas is actually the son of just Caroline (before she married), then maybe they mean second son, excluding William, who has no blood ties to either Henry John or Jane Elizabeth. So Henry George #1 son, Henry Charles #2 son.

More speculation I'm afraid...

I wonder if Henry George did die?

Name:    Henry George Morgan
Event Type:    Death
Registration Quarter:    Apr-May-Jun
Registration Year:    1888
Registration District:    Edmonton
County:    Middlesex
Event Place:    Edmonton, Middlesex, England

This is the only birth record that fits for Henry Charles:
Name:    Henry Charles Morgan
Event Type:    Birth Registration
Registration Quarter:    Jan-Feb-Mar
Registration Year:    1889
Registration District:    Edmonton
County:    Middlesex
Event Place:    Edmonton, Middlesex, England

So maybe Henry John and Caroline moved from Walthamstow after Henry was born, to Edmonton, where wee Henry George died and then Henry Charles was born? From memory, back in the day when I lived in London, I think those 2 places are quite near each other, so it's not too much of a stretch to imagine they moved from one spot to another.
I think this will end up being one of those things that I just never fully sort out and can only make guesses at.
