Angelo (My  2nd Great Grandfather) had a half brother Matthew Daisley who went to Australia and died in New South Wales in 1942 aged 77.  As far as I am aware just now that's the only connection with Australia I have.

That's not to say that there isn't a link there as I am not sure if Matthew and his wife Sarah had any children which could be your Uncles - I haven't researched that side yet.

Hi Stewy,

That's brilliant - What a nice surprise.  Since I posted this, I have found out loadsabout the Daisley's who moved here.  Angelo was my great-great grandfather and I recently visited one of the places where he lived...... Was he any relation of yours?

Hi Hanan,

That's unbelievable - My next suggestion would have been EAC.  On another note - Did you happen to nip into Sorn Church?  It is lovely  :)

I know that Robina travelled with George's sister to New York during August 1852.  I couldn't find a marriage certificate for them but I believe that they were married on 4th August 1853 in New Jersey, USA.

Hi,

I have been working on the Porter's for ages now..... I'm married to one :)  My Wife's (Great x2) Grandparents were George and Robina and her Great Grandfather was William, which was John Porter's brother.  I've done a lot of work on the whole family and I have a lot of information but unfortunately I couldn't find much on the birth in Canada.

Hi all,

I am trying to trace death dates for both Elizabeth and William Gilmour or Gilmore.

The last record I can find for them is Elizabeth living in her son's house at South Walnut Street in Sesser in the 1930 Census.  Her age at the time was 59 and her marital status is Widowed.

That means that William must have died before 1930 - His birth was in 1872.  Elizabeth's birth date was 23/03/1871.

Thanks

Hi,

That's magic - Angelo is my great great grandfather I think.  I need to try and get credits for roots ireland but I dont know if my bank will charge me for paying in Euros.  Thank you for finding that about the wedding for me - I really appreciate it.
