To my new Dowzard Rellies,
I am sorry to inform you that my Father-in-law, Edward John Dowzard, 7-10-1917 passed away
on Tuesday, 10-5-2011... 93 years of age, end of an era!
If only you could have known this gentleman!!
I had the privlege to inform him of his rellies that I had found via the internet, and he was
happy to hear the information I was able to tell him about.
RIP my dear dad-in-law.  I loved you deeply.

My F.I.L memory not so good. He does not no when his dad came to Australia.
He recalls that an Aunt came some years later... to Melbourne.  He never met her but thinks
it was Katherine.
1890 Edward died on board "SS Urana" 8/1934.

Your wife's mum and my F.I.L are 1st cousins... am i allowed to ask you any info on her?

All Dowzard's in Australia are related.... they come from my F.I.L or his 2 half brothers...

Have printed details off and will take them to see my Father-in-law tomorrow..
I am sure his dad is the Edward John born 18/12/1890.
He was a ship master Working up and down the east coast of australia.
He died  27/8/1934  and was burried in Tweed Heads NSW
He had 1 son to his first marriage.... funnly enough called him.......  Edward John Dowzard and his wife Mary Teresa (Keleher) died giving birth to a baby girl, who also died in 1922.
1890 Edward, then had two sons to his second wife (not sure of her name) Richard & Terry Dowzard.
1917 Edward- named his firs son EJ  we will call him 1940 Ted  who named his son EJ - refer to him as 1964 Ted and he named his son EJ - and we will refer to him as 1990 Ned.

Confusing as all hell.... i wish they could think of another name!!
