Hello Mike, and many thanks for the quick response.
I came across the marriage of William to Mary Walker at Twyford, and did think at first they were the parents. However, looking at a birth for William, and I came up with him christened 28 October, 1765 at Frisby on the Wreake, son of Solomon and Mary. This puts him age 51 at the time of his marriage. I have not come up with a birth for Mary Walker, so do not know her age at the time of the marriage.
William & Mary had at least 5 other children between 1814 and 1825 born at Rearsby, which would make William age at least 60 at the last birth, which though not impossible, is a little unlikely.
Research today has come up with a William born 1786 at Scalford Leicester, and a Mary (Hornbuckle) born Upper Broughton, Notts, in the same year. Information from the 1841/51 census. They were married at Upper Broughton in 1812 - (Charlotte was born in 1814, according to the 1851 census, - I cannot find her or Samuel on the 1841 census, and the Twyford couple didn't marry until 1816)
I also came across an Emma Forster (Foister) christened at Rearsby 7th Feb 1836 daughter of Charlotte. Is there any way of telling if this is our Charlottes' daughter before she was married?
I'm not really sure how to progress with this, and advice would be much appreciated.
Many thanks, Sam
