Hello Leonora,

I see our Vice Chair at the Family History of Buchan has been in touch, I don't think he knows you have already supplied the photo's etc. I've had trouble with my computer so couldn't  remember if I'd sent you the photo's of the completed model. Will attend to it.

I down loaded the wedding photo of the Peterhead family, so far haven't found anyone to identify the family, maybe some day somebody will come into the office who can help,   I'll keep trying for you. The quality of the photo makes a big difference, and it doesn't blow up very clearly.

I believe you are now on Facebook if you post it on Peterhead when I was a child, somebody will maybe pick it up for you.   Do you have any photo's of Patsy at the Regal?

Lindy-Lou

I notice in your post to Noz  your connection with Alexander Mundie and Christina Dargie she is related to me  Christina was the daughter of George Dargie born 1731 Corehill St Fergus and Ann Lillie, born 1747
my grandfather was also George Dargie his father was George Dargie married to Elizabeth Turriff, nest gen back is George Dargie and Ann Gallie (Gall) it may be the writing then George Dargie and Ann Lillie , so that would be 4 generations back from my grandfather.

Christina born 1765 married Alexander Mundie
George born 1774 married Ann Gallie (Gall) ?
John born 1778
William born 1768
Elizabeth born 1762
Elspet born 1772  married Robert Chalmers

Hello,

I was interested to see you have the Donald History, my late brother in law James George Donald lived in Peterhead  though his father was born in Aberdeen, I would be interested to see the Donald families throughout Aberdeenshire as I may know of some other links.

Aberdeenshire Lookup Requests / Re: James Bruce/Mary Jane Smith in Boddam

I noticed your post and I had a look on Ancestry.co.uk and found a family linked to what you are looking for the owner of the tree is tobrechin47 . and all the information fits what you are looking for there is a marriage certificate for James Bruce and Mary Smith on the 13 November 1917 at 241 Wallace Street Glasgow Gorbals district that will be why you are having difficulty finding the certificate in Boddam, once the train came to the village the locals seemed to get itchy feet. Mary Jane Smith appears in the 1891 Census born at Stirlinghill that is an area of Boddam.  Hope this helps you a Little.

Thanks for uploading the photo's I'm sure Sandy and John will appreciate them.

Did you notice on the workforce group Jacki Aiken who lived on the floor above your Gran he'd a daughter Adie and a son  Jackie who worked at the Harbour of Refuge also.   Jackie senior is two away from Colonol Littlejohn who is presenting a Long Service Medal to Jimmy Buchan I think it is ,you received it after 30 years service, my Dad got one on another occasion and I have a different photo of the workforce .

Hello Leonora,

One of my friends at the Peterhead Family History showed me your messages today and I think I'm right in thinking it's Tommy Kelly who lived with his parents at the Prison Quarters in the 1940's when I was small or should I say young, Tommy helped me with the first codling I caught from the said breakwater, my husband is one of the men rebuilding the model and will be very pleased to see the disc when it arrives I have taken some photo's of the work in progress, but like you I'm not sure how to work this site properly.

Tommy had a sister Martha and Patsy if I remember properly, he was also friendly with Bob Law dec. and Alfie Hepburn who I think still lives in Aberdeen.
