Hi, Thank you, Thomas and Catherine are very likely to be George Henry's parents!

I have a Henry Finnis but he was born 1866.

I dont have a Constance or Phillip in my tree at the moment as I dont have any links with the Deal Finnis's ...at the moment!

Any Maidstone Finnis's out there?!

 ;D

wow you have both found alot of information for me to look at! It does seem that the remarriage may be the answer Tazzie...I am going to have a closer look at the dates to see if it would fit together! Thank you both of you!

Hi, I have just picked up the Finnis thread and my great great grandparents are George H Finnis 1831 and Catherine/Kate Finnis 1830. They are From Maidstone and Detling and had alot of children! If anyone has any earlier links I would be very grateful!
Thank u

??? I wonder if anyone can help solve a mystery please? My father-in-law tells me his mothers maiden name was Millist and on his birth certificate it shows as Millist but I cant find any records for Florence Amelia Millist! His father was Richard J Loveys and the only marriage entry we can find of the right dates and area to a Florence Amelia gives her maiden name of Carr...and yes you have guessed it..I cant find any other records for a Florence Amelia Carr either! RichardfLoveys was born 1892 in London. Totally bamboozled now and dont know what else to try! My father-in-law believes there may be a Northants connection too.

Thanks

:D Thats great I will try and find out who Elizabeth married! I discovered that the couple and son who were lodgers were the daughter Annie and her husband and son. I wonder if Elizabeth is the link!? Thank you for finding her!

I cant link my family to the sandwich Finnis family at the moment whereas I know that the maidstone Charlotte Finnis is my great grandma.

Maybe I will have to do more research on the Cornwallis family at Linton and see if I can do it that way. Dad has always told this story but he could have got it muddled over the years bless him! He seems to think it was one of charlottes sisters which would be either Alice Finnis, or Annie Finnis unless there were more sisters that I havent found yet!

 :D Thanks bearkat,
I can see this isnt the one as Kate was born 1863 but thank you for looking!

I have them living in Maidstone with their children on a 1901 census, 1st child was born 1888.Her place of birth is given as Bearsted and I would have liked to pick up the Bearsted link if I could have done.
