Hhahahaha  :D :D :D  I'll have to tell the  family to consider buying GAA jerseys that have double counties on them and not just a blue one hahaha
Oh brilliant !!! Tara thank you.
I will check that out at Glasnevin when I'm home at Christmas. I live in Athens.

I hadn't any other information on Patrick .. I think that's why I gave up my research for so long because I just seemed to hit a brick wall and since my family tree is full of common names  ( Malone , Nolan , Byrne ) I just kept getting more and more confused and getting nowhere.
I'm delighted with my new information that you guys have found for me today to check out.
 Thank you :D

Guinness's have him listed at 42 Bellevue Buildings when he died.

Hi Tara ,
Sorry for the mix up ..
Yes you're right he was taken on in Guinness's 1890 aged 27 making him born 1863
His pension records from Guinness's have his age at time of death (1899) as 37 on one paper and 38 on another which makes his birth 1862 / 1861.
The family are determined to make things difficult for me .. from having such a common name to not remembering dates properly
:D :D :D
Again thanks so much for your help.

Hi Tara ,
I have attached the information that I received from St Catherine's records.
Patrick Nolan died 11th November 1899. I haven't applied for his death certificate yet . He used to work for Guiness's so I got the information about his death from their records. Also it gave his age as being 30 so that would mean he was born in 1869.

Thanks so much for your help.

Ah sorry .. I haven't worked on my research for quite a few years ..I completely forgot that I had already asked for help before on this particular part of the familytree . So as you can see I'm still not any the wiser since 2011 when I first posted my question.

Thank you for your help.

« on: Sunday 02 August 15 09:58 BST (UK)  »
Hi
On my Great grandfather's marriage entry from St Catherine's Church Meath street Dublin on 16th November 1890 I found his parents names however when trying to go further to find my great great grandparents marriage etc I have come to a dead end.

My great gr grand fathers name on the marriage cert of my gr.grandfather was listed as
Jacobi (James) Nolan (deceased by this date)
Mother : Johanne ( Jane ? ) Brown ( deceased by this date) .

If anyone could help me locate details regarding this marriage it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Kind regards

Hi Everyone
Just to let everyone know who were helping me find the marriage of my grandfather and step- grandmother that with all your help I have received their marriage certificate.
My grandfather William Malone married Elizabeth Hardiman on the 26th September 1933 at St James street Church Dublin. The witnesses at their marriage were John Kelly and Julianna Kelly which I think may actually be Mary Lord's parents who saw my notice here on Rootschat and was able to fill me in on a few things.
Thanks everyone for your help .  ;D

No Mary that's not them. I actually have found more information on my grandfathers family than I have of my father's family !!!
This link is the link to William on the census in 1911. He was 17 and living with his mother . There is no sign of his father on the census though.
