I'm lost...

not sure if my head is fuddled with dates and branches.

I am trying to do my mothers branch

Her mother was Lily Cowley nee Phillips
Lily died after catching fire, would there be a report on this ? 1937
I have found where she is buried which is Overleigh cemetery Chester
She was married to Alfred Cowley.
Her father was James Phillips and mother was Gertrude Partington
I have a copy of the marriage certificate James was 21 in 1897 and his fathers name is blank
I am struggling to find him before 1897, I'd like to get his birth certificate to find if he has a blank for father and who his mother could be.

I have researched the Partington's and have found that both Alfred and Lily's mothers were sisters, making them cousins, was marrying your cousin common??

This is so good of you, some extra little bit i'd not quite got, this is saving me some  time indeed

I have learnt not to trust IGI and use  it as a guide to help me with dates to find  the real info

can you confirm the Richard and Betty marriage is Bisley?   the surname of the witness Pegler is also the name i beleive of Richard and Samuels mother Jane Peglar which confirms this marriage has to be their Richard

any help is very much appreciated, i have been going through the IGI cross referencing people and may have moved on further.  when i was last in the Glos R O I did look through Bisley baptisms briefly, and after cross referencing again some of these confirm a few findings

if i am on the right track, Benjamin's father was indeed Samuel and mother was Hester Arundel

I do hope I am pushing back correctly, I beleive that Samuel snr's father could be a Richard.

Incase you are still researching
I must apologise in the delay of several months
but after dads heart attack he followed it with a stroke a month later and several other illnesses

I became his carer so he could still stay at home independent

However on 16th Aug he passed away at home with a heart attack

Whilst organising the funeral i had an ooportunity to look in the registers for burials, the grave digger there is a lovely man

This is the grave yard on the Boston Rd Horncastle, burials were made there from 1896

I found some veaseys

and some Vesseys

Eliza   Vessey 29-June-1923
