Dumfriesshire / Re: William Johnstone/Jane Glendinning

Hi - I have your William Glendinning.  His sister Mary (born about 1780) married James Kerr (born 1771, died november 24 1850) and are my husbands 5x great grandparents.  Sadly I don't have much more about the Glendinnings, as my husband is descended from the Kerr side.  They all lived in and around Dumfriesshire.  But I am looking them up so if I run across anything I'll let you know.  Dianne

Hello I am wondering if anyone can help me find out more about  Joseph Kerr and Mary Douglas?

Margaret Kerr is their daughter and my husbands g-grandmother and was born 3rd August 1849 at Keir, Dumfries, Married John Hastings on December 31, 1874 in the parish of Morton, and died on June 4th 1912 at Hazelwood, Thornhill.

Margaret's mariage was witnessed by a John Kerr and a James Kerr who may be brothers (or uncles?), but while I have quite a bit on Margaret, I know nothing abut her father and mother and would be most grateful for any assistance.

My husband is related to the Kerr/Hastings/Munsie side and I am currently in Thornhill.  We have pictures of a teapot given to Helen Munsie who was born on May 6, 1878, and died on July 23 1918..

I also have the family tree from Robert Munsie b July 28 1788 - died April 10 1865...

I have a lot of other information on the Munsie/Kerr/Hastings/McCaig but I just got it on scraps of paper from a great-cousin and need to put it together!

I would appreciate any help putting this altogether!

Dianne
