It would appear that William WALTON is likely to have married on June 5, 1827 in Suckley WOR to Hannah PARRY.  Hope this helps.  Jill

It did help, Jill, thank you.

William and Hannah are living with Esther Parry in the 1841 census, which provides further evidence that Hannah's maiden name was Parry. Appreciate you coming back with the information.

According to the register George Mead baptized in High Easter on 9 Sep 1821 was the son of William & Mary Mead of High Easter. William was a Gardener.

Sarah Mead baptized 14 May 1826 at High Easter, dau of Wm & Mary Mead of High Easter, Wm was a Gardener

Thank you, Scrabble. They look like the elder children of William and Mary in MargP's post.

Please may I ask if you have any marriage details for William Mead & Mary Sawen at High Easter abt 1820?

Edit  details of the 1841 census living in High Easter

William Mead  1791
Mary Mead t 1801
Joseph Mead  1828
Charles Mead t 1830 ,
James Mead  1833,
Ellen Mead  1835 ,
GEORGE MEAD  1835
MARY MEAD  1837
Isaac Mead  1837
Henry Mead  1841

Thanks, Marg. That could be the family of William & Mary Mead that Scrabble refers to.

Maybe William (1791 High Easter) and Mile End John (1797 High Easter) were relatives (brothers?). In 1841, William looked after John's George & Mary at High Easter. In return, John accommodated George (1821) & Sarah (1826) at Mile End.

Edit: Found William Mead, 1789, High Easter (son of Thomas Mead and Elizabeth Chandler). No baptism details found for a John Mead, High Easter, c 1797.

According to the marriage he was a Bachelor, may be they are niece and nephew ??

That's quite possible. John Mead was born in High Easter. Perhaps George (20 y.o  in the 1841 census) was his nephew and Sarah was his niece.

There is a messageboard reference to George Mead baptised in High Easter on 9 Sep 1821. No information on the parents though, nor whether he had a younger sister called Sarah.

This looks like the marriage:

John Mead, bachelor, and Mary Gardner Burley (altho' transcribed as Barley), spinster, married 5/1/1832 Stepney St. Dunstan and All Saints.

Annette

Thanks Annette. Perfect!

Hi

This looks like the marriage it may be John's second marriage ?

Thanks Marg. I guess that George Mead 20 and Sarah Mead 15 in the 1841 census may be children from John Mead's first marriage.

I found the following three baptisms in the register of Stepney St Dunston & All Saints:
John Mead baptised 10 Mar 1833 - parents John (grocer) & Mary Mead
George Mead baptised 27 Oct 1834 - parents John (cheesemonger) & Mary Gardner Mead
Mary Mead baptised 23 May 1837 - parents John (cheesemonger) & Mary Gardner Mead

This would sit nicely with the following entry in the 1951 census [Class: HO107; Piece: 1553; Folio: 73; Page: 17]
Artichoke Row, Mile End Road, Mile End Old Town
John Mead...54...Higheaster, Essex (poulterer)
Mary Mead...50...Barking, Essex
John Mead...18...Mile End, Middlesex
George Mead...16...Mile End, Middlesex
Mary Ann Mead...13...Mile End, Middlesex

John, Mary and John were at the same address in 1841 (although George 6 and Mary Ann 3 are not, for some reason). Also there are George Mead 20 and Sarah Mead 15.

I wonder if someone could kindly let me know the marriage details of John & Mary Mead please? And also if they had any more children?

Thank you!

*I assume that Frederick Baker Sr. was a widower because he married his neighbour Emily Jane Dunston in 1924.

Sadly a short marriage then- if he also died in 1924.

It was Frederick Baker junior who died in 1924. It was his father, Frederick Baker senior, who married Emily Jane Dunston.

If Jane Ethel Johson married Frederick Baker junior then she became a widow in 1924.
