i was at Nazareth house southend on sea when i was a child[1954-1965] from the age of 2 till i was 13/14 i still have great memory's as a young man , the home was run by catholic nuns , as i recall there was a mini farm, football field, vegetable patch. the children use to be in dormentrys with a nun ina cubicle in the corner of the room, i am not sure of the number of children who were there at any given time, but the number 150-300 seems to ring a bell.
