Hi as you didn't give must details as to who your looking for, why not look on these sites .

http://www.salford.gov.uk/cemeteries.htm

http://www.cemsearch.co.uk/

If Roman Catholic then they could even be in these ?

http://www.salforddiocesecemeteries.org/

Or even possibly in Manchester?

And as far as Trafford

Which relevant library would this be? Bury or Rochdale as it boarders both?

I know for certain that she was buried just not where. Her DOB is Jun 1907, her husband, Frederick Tudor Robinson didn't die until 1970 in Westminster London and he was cremated.

Wightlady

Hi, how do you know for certain that she was buried? She could well be cremated and the ashes buried with a family member?
Have you tried looking for an obituary in any of the local papers for that time? Do you know the cause of death and was there an inquest? If so i would check to see if there is a coroners report available?
Are any other family members buried in this area, including Manchester where she might have been laid to rest with?

I was 99.9999% one family of mine would not have been cremated and turned out that there children had them cremated due to the coast of burials

I can't find a birth for Marjorie in Lancashire, but I did find this:

December qtr 1915
Lambeth district    Vol 1d, Page 536
Boxshall, Marjorie E
Mother's maiden name: Smith

Do you have a reference for the 1901 census?
Am having trouble finding Eric!

There seems to be a fair few BoSHall's born Lambeth with a mothers maiden name of Smith From 1911 to 1920 ?

Lists him as John Hamilton and Marjory b in 1900?  maybe this is not the correct person, although have him as being born in Scotland abt 1867
not sure where else to look.
 :-\

I don't think this is your man as  the name is not really a close match.
Did spot Marjory E Hamilton-Boxall marring a Frederick C Bishop Dec 1/4 1931
West Ashford, Kent if it helps.
But could find no link to Manchester and your Eric or Marjory.   :-\

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Re: Oldham Grave Lookup Request

Luke

Your lady is not buried in any Oldham council cemetery  :( does she have family in Rochdale?

The Oldham burial website is not that good but 100% better than Salford/Rochdale who don't have one, and Manchester is just 95% fantastic.

Bit of history

Manchester council sent all there burial registers overseas to be photographed and transcribed, that is why all the records are online.

Oldham council took a different approach they are not putting old records online unless an old grave has to be reopened, they then create that entry on bacas with all data from the register.

I am not sure how Tameside are doing it but it seems to be the same way as Oldham.

You will need to find her orbs in the local newspaper to find the burial location.

Regards
Ken

Not sure your right about Oldham not putting old records on line?
This one is dated 1966 and has not been reopened ?

Just love it when i see *COMPLETED*  on a posting  ;D

Harry & Mabel Fagan both died that same year.
Harry & Mabel are both buried in southern cemetery nonconformist part grave number H1650
This seems to be a communal grave as there seem to be a lot of othrs buried in it that don't seem to be related?
Harry Fagan buried 23rd July 1901 & Mabel Fagan buried 31st Aug 1901 both were living at number 6 Langshaw street, Stretford at the time of there deaths.
