Thanks Monica

I did notice the difference in dates on that sheet for Anthony.

As I cant find anything for Anthony I'm presuming that's an error and should be Ina.

Many Thanks for sharing.

Regards
Marie

HI

I'm currently looking at this family although not related.

Curious about Ena born in 1876.  I have an Anthony born 14 Dec 1876 . https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1876/03034/2112065.pdf

His parents are listed as William Barr & Mary McGlynn of Bauville.

I have all 8 children but do not have Ena.  What date of birth do you have for Ena?

Regards
Marie

Hi Roisin

Your McGahey / MGahen family are certainly interesting.  Unfortunately they do not seem to be my McGahey family.

Many thanks
Marie

Hi there

I a researching McDaid & Doherty families in Clonglash.  I am interested in any details for the Fanny McDaid (nee Doherty) who married Henry McLaughlin you mentioned.  Do you have information on any family from her first marriage?  Do you have a date of marriage for the second marriage?

Thanks
Marie

Glad to hear you are now a step further back in your research.  My understanding is the the Moyle is, if you like, over the hill from Ludden towards Buncrana.  I will check out an ordance survey map and see if I can get the co-ordinates for you.

Marie

Part of this family tree was completed in the mid 1970's and the wifes names was provided then.  I will have to check out the pension return you mention.

Will let you know if I find out anything.

Donegal / Joseph Wilson & Margaret Friel - Burdooey Muff Co Donegal
« on: Sunday 18 November 12 21:31 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Folks

I am looking for anyone who might be related to the following family:

Joseph Wilson married Margaret Friel c. 1858

They had the following children:
Martin B. 27 Mar 1859
Joseph B. 23 Dec 1866
Martha B. 5 Jul 1868
Ellen B. 19 Jul 1872
William B. 25 June 1874
Mary Eliza B. 22 Jan 1876
Sally Anne B. 4 Jul 1880
Robert B. 3 Jul 1870
Nancy B. 22 Jul 1877

According to the Iskaheen Baptismal records they were living at Burdooey Muff when their children were born.

Margaret was my Great Grand Mothers (Mary Friel) sister.  I am currently unable to go any further back in that section of my family tree as both girls were married prior to 1864.

To date I have not been able to find out if they had any additional siblings.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Regards
Marie

Sarah Fullertons parents were Alexander Fullerton & Unity McCraven.

I am related to this family and have done some of the family tree.

I have a daughter born to Sarah & Bernard in 1883/  Her name was Annie.  She married an Edward Fullerton on 9 Nov 1911 in Lexington Boston USA.  They had at least 3 children up until 1919.

Edward Fullertons parents were John Fullerton & Ellen Jack (possibly Jackson).  From what I have to date Edward's father John & Annie's Mother Sarah would have been cousins.

Would love to know your friends connection to this family.

Marie

Saw your query and thought I would check it out for you.  I live in Buncrana and have checked the marriage records you require.

Edward Doherty married Francis Duggan on 25 August 1878 in St Mary's Church Cockhill which is just outside Buncrana.  The witnesses were Daniel Grant & Bridget Duggan.  Unfortunately the records do not say who their parents were but if you contact the civil registration office in Letterkenny with the details above they will be able to issue a certificate and from that you will have both fathers names.  Civil Registration Telephone number is 074 9124576.
