Hi again!

Further to my message yesterday - I have checked my family tree and you are on it!  We are 4th cousins!  Please message me offline and I can share all the information with you.  I have Albert born 1916 in Wootton Bassett, his wife was Gloria and he had children Gloria(!!!!) and Winifred both born in the USA.

I have photographs of Edwin Hugh Edmonds and Fanny Walker with their children, so Winifred (Albert's mother) will be in the photographs - I have a few of them.  They are lovely photos.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Debra Edmonds (Swindon)

Hi There

Your family sound very familiar - I believe they are related to mine!  The engineering side of the Edmonds family lived in Wootton Bassett and also Lyneham - Edwin Edmonds was the start of the engineering side of things.  I will check my tree now, but do believe you may actually be on it!  Let me know if these towns sounds likely.  Hope to hear from you soon!  Best wishes, Debra Edmonds (Swindon, UK)

Hi Toby

Re your post last year about the farm and the old photo.  This farm is no longer standing at Haydon Wick.  I do know the exact location where it used to be and I also have an old map with it on.  It belonged to a man named Alan Trotman's mother - her name was Sims - is this a name that is in your own family?  I think her first name could have been Cecilia?

I am writing a book about this area and I will be talking about all the old farms - would you please allow me permission to use this photo in my book?  If you do know anything about the Sims family I would be very interested to hear about it.

Let me know if you would like to see the old map with this farm on and also where it would be in today's landscape.

Best wishes

Debra
