Hi there,

Thank you for this kind offer.

Would you be able to look up these 2 wills for me?

Henry Seatle, 1823;

William Seatle, 1857;

It would be greatly appreciated,

Hi, thanks for replying.

Interesting find. Only problem is the couple in question divorced  in 1883  :-\

However, the couple did supposedly have a child seven years after their divorce, in 1890. So i don't really know what went on there  ??? I'm hoping the divorce record may shine some light, and see if it's plausible they got back together to have a child, though this is questionable!

Hi there, thanks for replying.

I'm from the York area, so no extra cost drawn from there.

It just might just knock down a brick wall for me, (couple got divorced and then seemingly had another child togther some seven years on  ???). You never know what may come up!

England / Divorce Records

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone could help me. I have found several divorce records for a variety of ancestors, but after receiving a quote from the Archives for how much a copy of one would cost (up to £64!), I'm wondering what a divorce record from 1883/ 1859 could tell me, and if i can justify spending even more money on the family tree?!

Hi Ted-
Joshua Hewitt was my 4x great uncle, his sister Elizabeth being my 3x great Grandmother. Any further luck with the Hewitt branch in Bangor?

Hope to hear from you,

Hi Bill,

I know this is a bit of a long shot considering the ago of this post, but I was just wondering about your Whitehouse family. I have numerous Whitehouse relations born in West Brom, and just interested to know the parantage of your Joseph Whitehouse? I have a Richard Whitehouse born in 1820c in Bilston, Staffordshire a iron puddler, married to Charlotte Clifton. Any links?

One Name Studies: N to S / Re: PICKTHALL - In "The North"
« on: Thursday 21 April 11 22:34 BST (UK)  »
Hi Paul,

I have a Mary Pickthall born in Colton, Ulverston, in c1800 who I think was the daughter of George Pickthall and perhaps Betty Gibson, who married in 1799, Ulverston. Mary, however, married in Thwaites, Millom, Cumberland in 1824 and worked as Grocer in Ulverston. Not sure if i'm on the right track, as there seems to be an awful lot of Pickthalls in the Ulverston area around that time!!

Kind Regards,
Hannah

Hi Paul,

My Pickthall family were based around Thwaites, Millom, Cumberland and Ulverston (I think!) at the end of the 1700s. Any connections?
