Denbighshire Lookup Requests / Llansilin baptisms
« on: Monday 18 April 11 09:29 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for details of a David WILLIAMS born about 1841 in Llansilin. He married Susannah PRICE at Llanelidan in 1866 when he gave his father's name as Robert. If he followed the traditional naming pattern for his children, his mother's name was probably Mary. Thankyou.

Denbighshire Lookup Requests / Re: PRICE Llanfwrog and JONES Llanelidan

Sarah,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately both fathers were shown as labourers on the marriage cert. John PRICE was adamant in every census that he was born in Llanfwrog. The marriage was in 1839 so trying to connect to families using the census is not on. John & Elizabeth are actually buried at the Carmel Baptist chapel in Llanelidan not the Methodist.

Denbighshire Lookup Requests / PRICE Llanfwrog and JONES Llanelidan
« on: Wednesday 03 March 10 10:19 GMT (UK)  »
I have John PRICE married Elizabeth JONES at Llanelidan 11 May 1839 ( Marriage Cert). Their fathers were Robert PRICE & John JONES. According to censuses, John was born about 1817 at Llanfwrog and Elizabeth about 1820 at Llanelidan. Could someone please look at registers and see if there is any more detail about any of these people and their siblings. Both John & Elizabeth are buried at the Methodist Chapel in Llanelidan. I have a photo of the headstone. This couple are my wife's g-g-grandparents.

Lancashire / GODLEY Family in Milnrow
« on: Thursday 22 January 09 11:47 GMT (UK)  »
Thanks to 1911 census, I have just discovered some of my wife's connections living in Milnrow. Susannah (sussanah) GODLEY was shown as Mrs Joseph WOOD but the children were all shown as GODLEY except the first one who was shown as John Godley WOOD. He was the son of my wife's grandpa and was John GODLEY born Deepcar Yorkshire in 1900. Someone has written in red on the form " This couple are not married" !.

Can anyone easily get me burials of GODLEY in Milnrow from 1920 to now?
Don't worry, I don't expect very many.

Thanks
John

Buckinghamshire Lookup Requests / 1841 ADAMS Mentmore
« on: Tuesday 04 April 06 12:54 BST (UK)  »
Could someone please look for a John ADAMS in Mentmore/Ledburn. He was born about 1825-30. Also the family of Thomas(60) & Mary(57) ADAMS in the same location. They were in Ledburn in 1851 and John may have been christened at Mentmore in 1826. My problem is that I have a 25 yo John in Ledburn in 1851 and a 21yo John in Billington. In 1861 the one who was in Billington is in Luton aged 30 claiming to be born in Ledburn. Don't worry too much about age, in 1901 he "was" 64. When he died in 1907 he was 79!

Thanks for reading
